It’s been a while since I blogged on Friendster. But I only notice now that Friendster is using Wordpress as its blogging system. Good. This looks promising but also now open to spam attacks. This explains the “awaiting for moderation” e-mail messages lately. Hmmm. Let’s see how this fares.

News from Soundtrip:
Excerpt:
MANILA, Philippines — The Eraserheads Reunion Concert
was cut short Saturday night after lead singer Ely Buendia was rushed
to the Makati Medical Center due to overfatigue.
The concert’s sudden end was announced by Buendia’s sister Lally who
went onstage after a 20-minute intermission of the planned 30-song
concert.
Raimund Marasigan also came out onstage, followed by Marcus Adoro
and Buddy Zabala who assisted Buendia’s sister in announcing that the
concert would no longer continue. They asked for prayers for the band’s
lead singer and songwriter.
The Soundtrip blog indicates that Buendia is in stable condition and is going to be okay.

I found this helpful tips for kids and parents
on how to ensure online safety. Kids are especially fond of social
networks (more than their parents, heh). So it’s best that parents
should also understand how social networks work.
Here’s an example:
Set reasonable expectations. Pulling the plug on your
child’s favorite social site is like pulling the plug on their social
life. This can shut down communication and send kids “underground”
where they’re more at risk.

If you’re from this area, you should check this post from Vox Populi
Apart from the congested traffic during the daily rush hours, a
normal sight along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City would be the
colorful tricycles that quickly traverse down the streets against
monstrous trucks, missing nearby vehicles by mere inches.
But the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has banned
tricycles from the area, drawing complaints from transport operators,
students and residents.
